I'm Manuel Marques — an operations and engineering professional based in Germany, currently working in a confidential mission-critical role. My path here runs through manufacturing, quality and engineering change, across Portugal, Romania and now Germany.
I started on the factory floor, assembling automotive seats and learning how a product actually comes together before anyone writes a specification about it. From there I moved into quality and engineering change management — coordinating thousands of wiring-harness modifications per year between German design teams and Romanian production, and building the habits that matter: document everything, verify assumptions, and fix the root cause rather than the symptom.
Today I work in operations within a mission-critical environment — real-time monitoring, anomaly response, and shift handover discipline, where the cost of an unchecked detail is measured in more than euros. That context has shaped how I work: calm under pressure, precise under uncertainty, and clear about what is and isn't known.
Off-shift, I build software. Node.js, TypeScript, Vue and Electron on the web side. Python and PowerShell for automation. Gemini APIs where a model is actually useful. This entire site was generated from a single PowerShell block.
